Erasmus+ 2024 Project Period Staff Mobility for Training Applications Have Started
Applications have opened for academic staff of our university who wish to participate in Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training under the 2024 Project Period of the Erasmus+ Programme.
Within the scope of the Erasmus+ 2024 Project Year, applications for Staff Mobility for Training will be accepted between 28 January and 12 February 2026 via the application portal at https://turnaportal.ua.gov.tr/
. Academic staff wishing to apply must first log in to the application portal through e-Government and access the announcement titled “Kayseri University 2024 Project Period Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training Applications Have Started.”
The number of participants who will benefit from the grant allocated to our institution under the 2024 Project Period Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training depends on the destination country, grant amounts, travel costs, and duration of the mobility. All applications will be ranked according to their scores, and it is planned that a total of four (4) quotas will be allocated for academic staff of our university to benefit from the activity. Priority will be given to staff, units, and departments that have not previously benefited from the programme. Quotas may increase or decrease depending on the available budget. Within the scope of applications, three quotas have been allocated for Programme Countries and one quota for Non-Programme Countries. Information regarding other rules related to student and staff mobility to non-programme countries and the grant amounts to be provided to participants is explained in the relevant sections of the Erasmus+ Programme Guide, as stated below:
“Higher education institutions may allocate up to 20% of their final approved KA131 grant to student and staff mobility (outgoing mobility only) to non-programme countries (Regions 1–14). In order to carry out international mobility, if the activity is to be conducted at a higher education institution in a non-programme country, the host institution must be recognised by a competent authority in accordance with its national legislation, and a bilateral agreement must be signed between the sending and receiving institutions before the activity.”
Units without an existing inter-institutional agreement may also benefit from Staff Mobility for Training (STT). Candidates applying from units without an agreement must include an official letter of invitation from the host institution in their application files. In accordance with the current grant allocated to our institution and to ensure that a higher number of staff can benefit from the mobility, the duration of the activity for which grants will be paid has been determined as for mobility with Program Countries a maximum of 3 consecutive working days (excluding travel days); for mobility with non-associated third countries a minimum of 5 consecutive days.
In addition to the activity duration, 2 days of travel time (one for departure and one for return) will be funded. Furthermore, travel support will be provided based on the distance to the host university. Before submitting an application, candidates are required to read the detailed information regarding Erasmus+ Staff Training Mobility and the application process. The funded duration of the activity cannot be less than 2 days for staff mobility.
The grant provided within the scope of staff mobility is a contribution and is not intended to cover all expenses related to the period spent abroad.
For staff members who are entitled to benefit from the mobility and who submit all required documents completely before the start date of the activity, the grant payment will be made in a single instalment prior to the activity. However, if the mobility is unsuccessful or not completed, the entire grant amount paid will be recovered.
Applicants who do not declare a foreign language score will not be included in the evaluation process.
Staff members who are entitled to benefit from the mobility must complete their activities by 31 July 2026. However, selected candidates must submit their invitation letters obtained from the host institution to the Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office by 20 February 2026. Candidates who fail to submit the invitation letter by this date will lose their right to participate, and substitute candidates will be placed instead.
Applicants are strongly advised to carefully review all information and application procedures related to Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training before submitting their applications.
