Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş KARAMUSTAFA, attended the 8th General Assembly of the Turkic Universities Union (TURKUNIB), held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on October 15, 2025.

The meeting, hosted by Tashkent International University, took place between 15–17 October 2025 with the participation of rectors and representatives from various universities across the Turkic World and TURKUNIB member institutions.

In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş KARAMUSTAFA emphasized the importance of the Orhun Exchange Program in strengthening the common academic future of the Turkic World. He proposed the establishment of a Permanent TURKUNIB Secretariat and an Orhun Program Fund to ensure the sustainability of the initiative.

Rector Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş KARAMUSTAFA highlighted that these steps would enhance student and academic mobility and contribute to building a stronger higher education cooperation network among Turkic countries.

During his visit to Tashkent, Rector Prof. Dr. Kurtuuş KARAMUSTAFA also met with Prof. Dr. Nodirbek Sayfullayev, Rector of the Uzbek State University of Art and Culture, to discuss potential project collaborations and partnership opportunities.
